Terms of service
Effective 23 April 2026. By creating a ShopMCP workspace you agree to these terms with ShopMCP.
What this is
/api/mcp) and every integration module connected from your workspace. Specific data-handling commitments live in the Data Processing Addendum; the list of vendors we use is on the subprocessors page.1. The service
ShopMCP gives a workspace one authenticated MCP endpoint and a dashboard for managing the modules, credentials, billing, team members, API keys, playbooks, and usage that sit behind it. You plug the endpoint into a chat client (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or any other Streamable HTTP MCP client) and the client's model can call the tools you have enabled.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this contract.
- You are responsible for the actions of every member, API key, and connected MCP client in your workspace.
- You must keep your sign-in credentials and ShopMCP API keys confidential. Any tool call made with a valid bearer token from your workspace counts as your action for billing and audit purposes.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ShopMCP to:
- Connect a platform you do not have authorisation to read or write on behalf of (e.g. someone else's Shopify store).
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to circumvent the rate limits, plan caps, or seat enforcement.
- Resell access by sharing API keys or seats across organisations beyond what your plan permits. Agency plans are designed for client work — please use one.
- Send traffic that probes for vulnerabilities, denies service, or bypasses authentication on ShopMCP itself or any upstream we integrate with.
- Use ShopMCP to violate the terms of any connected platform (Shopify, Google, Maropost) — those terms continue to apply to the data we read on your behalf.
4. Plans, billing, and the free trial
ShopMCP offers paid plans (Solo, Brand, Portfolio, Agency, and Agency Scale) and a 14-day free trial on any paid plan. The active limits and prices are shown on the billing page when you are signed in. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
The free trial is per-user, runs for 14 days from first activation, and does not require a credit card. Switching plans mid-trial does not restart the trial clock. Only one free trial is available per user account across all workspaces they own.
Each plan is capped at the published number of tool calls per billing account per calendar month. Once the cap is reached the runtime returns a structured error inviting you to upgrade; the cap resets at the start of the next month in UTC.
You can cancel any time from the billing page. Cancellation stops the next renewal — we do not refund partial months. If we materially change a price we will email workspace owners at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
5. Your data and your tenants
You retain all rights to the ecommerce data we read on your behalf. We process that data only to satisfy tool calls you initiate and only for as long as the connection is active. The full processing terms are in the DPA, which is incorporated into these terms by reference for any workspace that processes personal data of European, UK, or Australian individuals.
You are responsible for making sure that the people whose data flows through ShopMCP have been informed and, where required, consented to that processing.
6. Service availability
We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the MCP runtime, measured at the public endpoint. Scheduled maintenance windows announced on the status page do not count against the target. We do not offer a contractual SLA during the free trial.
ShopMCP depends on third-party platforms (Shopify, Google, Neto, Stripe). Outages of those platforms can degrade individual modules even when our runtime is healthy. We will surface upstream status on the status page where possible.
7. Suspension and termination
We can suspend or terminate a workspace, with or without notice, if it materially breaches these terms, fails to pay, or puts the security of the platform at risk. Where reasonable we will warn first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
You can delete your workspace from the billing page at any time. Deletion removes credentials immediately and queues the account for full erasure within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain specific records (e.g. tax invoices for the statutory period).
8. Warranties and disclaimers
We provide ShopMCP "as is". We do not warrant that the service is uninterrupted, that every model output is accurate, or that every connected platform behaves consistently. To the extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Nothing in this section limits any non-excludable consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law or equivalent laws in your jurisdiction.
9. Limitation of liability
Subject to the previous section, our total aggregate liability to you in any twelve-month period is capped at the fees you actually paid us in that period. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, or data.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify ShopMCP against third-party claims arising out of (a) your use of the service in breach of these terms, (b) the data you push or pull through the service, or (c) your violation of the terms of any connected platform.
11. Changes to these terms
We will post changes to this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be emailed to workspace owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use ShopMCP after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws give you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.
13. Referral and affiliate programs
ShopMCP runs two share-and-earn programs side by side. They are tracked separately and you can take part in one or both — but a single signup can only be attributed once.
- Referral program. Built into your workspace at Settings → Referrals. Each user has one stable
/r/<slug>link. When someone signs up through your link and pays their first month on a paid plan, you receive a one-time credit equal to one month of your then-current subscription, applied automatically to your Stripe balance and consumed on your next invoice. - Affiliate program. A separate public program at affiliates.shop-mcp.app. Approved affiliates earn 10% recurring commission paid out in cash for as long as the referred customer keeps an active paid subscription. The commission rate, cookie window, payout threshold, and any clawback rules are governed by the affiliate program's own terms — review them when you sign up.
Each visitor is attributed to whichever link they clicked. A customer cannot earn you both a referral credit and an affiliate commission for the same signup. Self-referrals, fraudulent attribution, and incentivised signups (paying someone to sign up through your link) void the reward and may result in suspension from either program. We reserve the right to adjust the published rates with 30 days' notice and to terminate either program in line with section 11.
